RetroFable Video Game
Senior Project at Radford University

This page features images from my senior project at Radford University. I wanted to showcase the full range of software and skills I developed during my time at Radford, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, and InDesign. I also used Unity to code the gameplay elements, and Aseprite to create and animate the pixel art.

To encourage more interaction with the exhibit, I set up an easel and mounted a board with paper on it, inviting visitors to draw using oil pastels. I don't really care what people decide to draw, the act of drawing anything at all is enough to make me happy.

Artist Statement

As an artist and designer, I’m always looking for new ways to express my ideas visually, whether it be through painting, 3D modeling, photography, or any other medium that inspires me. I knew I wanted to be an artist from a young age. I would draw every day, not just for fun, but also as a way to make sense of the world around me. Over time, that passion became a desire to create visuals that tell stories.

I’ve found that I produce my best work when I’m genuinely enjoying the process. I strive to learn new tools and techniques so that I can express myself across a wide range of mediums. Exploring different art forms is something I feel compelled to do constantly, even when it isn’t always rewarding. For me, the reward is in the process of learning. Failing and knowing I can do better next time is what motivates me. My end goal is to create art that reflects my personal journey while inviting others to explore their own stories and connections to the world around them.
